Even in his student days, Kirill Petrenko was fascinated by the music of Josef Suk, with its Bohemian melodiousness and shimmering impressionism. After his great symphony of mourning, Asrael, the chief conductor presents Suk’s tone poem A Summer’s Tale. The programme also includes a world premiere by the Icelandic composer Anna Thorvaldsdóttir.
