Thomas Adès makes his debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker Thomas Adès in conversation with Matthew McDonald
“In my universe,” says Thomas Adès, “time does not just move in one direction – and this also applies to my music”. In the dual role of composer and conductor, he created a modern programme in September 2022 with his own works, including his violin concerto “Concentric Paths”, plus music by Hector Berlioz and Gerald Barry.
