David Robertson conducts Beethoven’s “Pastoral” Miroslav Srnka about “Superorganisms”

Czech composer Miroslav Srnka describes the idea that gave rise to Superorganisms as “something wild that emerges from perfection”. As he explains here, the piece, dedicated to the Berliner Philharmoniker, transposes the biological concept of superorganisms to the orchestra.
