2022/23

In keeping with the programme’s focus on “Identities”, Kirill Petrenko opened the season with Mahler’s twilight Seventh. Esa-Pekka Salonen was conductor and Composer in Residence, and the dream team of Martha Argerich and Daniel Barenboim performed together with the Berliner Philharmoniker for the first time. The concerts on New Year’s Eve and in the Walbühne were dedicated to great voices.
