Ondřej Adámek
CompositeurComposer and conductor Ondřej Adámek, born in Prague in 1979, develops his musical language in dialogue with musical elements from very different cultures – including Bali, New Caledonia, Japan and Andalusia. His works utilise self-made instruments and everyday objects in addition to the classical orchestra. His wide-ranging oeuvre, which includes orchestral, chamber, vocal and electro-acoustic music, is characterised by skilfully composed timbres. Language also plays a central role in his works, as in his – purely instrumental – [Sinuous Voices], which has been performed by the Berliner Philharmoniker.
