Alexandre Kantorov, who won a first prize including a gold medal at the prestigious International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow at the age of just 22, has been hailed as “one of the best pianists in the world” (Der Standard) and as “Liszt reborn” (Fanfare Magazine). The pianist, who was born in France in 1997, made his debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker with Liszt’s Second Piano Concerto.
