Robin Ticciati

Chef d’orchestre

Conductor Robin Ticciati, who also trained as a violinist, pianist and percussionist, has a wide range of styles, ranging from Baroque works on gut strings to free improvisation on stage. As chief conductor of the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the British musician with Italian roots has formulated his goal: to optimise the flexibility of an orchestra. “I am a gardener who ensures that the musicians can grow artistically”. The conductor, whose mentors include Sir Colin Davis and Sir Simon Rattle, made his debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker in 2023.
