Riccardo Minasi
Chef d’orchestreFire and spontaneity combined with the greatest precision and a pronounced enjoyment of contrast: Riccardo Minasi’s interpretations, which are the result of a deep knowledge of the scores and their respective aesthetic environment, fully exploit the dramaturgical potential of music from different eras. He studied violin before turning to the Baroque violin and historically informed performance practice. Since then, Minasi has conducted numerous renowned original sound ensembles. With a recording of late Mozart symphonies with the Resonanz ensemble, he delivered one of the “most exciting Mozart contributions of our still new millennium” ([Deutschlandfunk]) with vigour and drama. He also made his debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker with an all-Mozart programme.
