Gil Shaham in conversation with Julia Gartemann Zubin Mehta dirige la « Symphonie avec orgue » de Saint-Saëns
Il y a beaucoup à admirer dans la Symphonie avec orgue de Camille Saint-Saëns, œuvre qui se distingue par ses facettes extrêmement variées. Vaporeuse et délicate, elle se montre aussi d’une solennité grandiose dans son mouvement final où le timbre de l’orgue joue un rôle important. Un même souffle néo-romantique anime le reste de cette soirée dirigée par Zubin Mehta : l’Intermezzo de l’opéra Notre Dame de Franz Schmidt et le Concerto pour violon d’Erich Wolfgang Korngold, avec Gil Shaham en soliste.
