Murray Perahia, l’un des grands pianistes de notre époque, s’est déjà produit maintes fois avec les Berliner Philharmoniker. Dans ce concert, il fait ses débuts philharmoniques de chef d’orchestre – tout en assurant la partie soliste du fervent Concerto pour piano n° 27 de Mozart. La seconde partie du programme permet d’entendre une œuvre rarement jouée : le Grand Duo de Franz Schubert, ici dans l’arrangement pour orchestre de Joseph Joachim.
