Pour le magazine Gramophone, Nikolaï Znaider est « un violoniste de réelle substance », un artiste qui « n’a pas peur de suivre sa propre voie et de dire quelque chose de nouveau ». Znaider interprète ici le Concerto pour violon de Jean Sibelius en compagnie du chef d’orchestre Juraj Valcuha. Deux œuvres romantiques pleines de verve et de couleurs complètent le programme : la Symphonie n° 1 de Tchaïkovski et l’ouverture d’Euryanthe de Weber.
