Manfred Honeck in conversation with Albrecht Mayer Manfred Honeck et Yo-Yo Ma au Festival de Pâques
Dans ce concert du Festival de Pâques 2016, Manfred Honeck dirige le Concerto pour violoncelle de Robert Schumann, avec Yo-Yo Ma en soliste, et la Pathétique de Piotr Tchaïkovski. Ces deux œuvres tardives de compositeurs romantiques pourraient difficilement être plus dissemblables : là où Schumann atteint à la contemplation et au chant intérieur, Tchaïkovski étale sans la moindre retenue sa douleur et sa fierté devant l’auditeur de son ultime symphonie.
