Anders Hillborg on his composition “Cold Heat” Yo-Yo Ma joue Chostakovitch
Créé le jour du 60e anniversaire de Dmitri Chostakovitch, le Concerto pour violoncelle n° 2 apparaît comme une méditation nuancée du compositeur sur sa propre vie. Seuls les meilleurs violoncellistes savent trouver le ton juste dans cette œuvre au langage souvent très fracturé. Yo-Yo Ma, qui interprète ici le concerto en compagnie de David Zinman, est incontestablement l’un d’entre eux. Le reste du programme propose de la musique venue du Nord : Cold Heat d’Anders Hillborg et la Symphonie n° 5 de Carl Nielsen.
